Dear father I received your letter of the 30th yesterday I was glad to hear from you I am well and enjoying myself here the best I can. Theodore M is at work here he says you are foolish iff you sell another barrel in Madison. They are putting up a large porkhouse here they said they would want over 130000 pork barrels this [p.2] season. I wouldn't advise you but i would move here if i was you. They are plenty of houses and lots of all sizes to sell here and iff you intend to follow coopering you can better yourself here and besides I hate the burg and never will stay there anymore. I was at the theater twice last week with Mrs Susan Mille. She is as devilish as ever she was before she was married [p.3] she said they tried to make a catholick of her but they could not come if they are no talk of [__?] leaving here at present. Iff you will send me some money I will come home a few days. I am straped now that is easy to be here. No more at present
Yors.
L. Bryant
