Description

This is a photograph of an outdoor play performance. Five young women stand in the foreground in white bonnets and aprons, holding buckets. Behind them can be seen young people in wide-brimmed hats and overalls, holding hoes. A group looks on in the background, with a church visible behind them. A caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Milk Maidens, Farmer Boys." This photograph is from the "Plays" envelope that was part of the collection's original organization.
