This is a photograph of an outdoor play performance. The young women in the play wear white dresses with white headbands, and two maypoles can be seen on either side. There is a young woman with a long train climbing the stairs to a small stage draped in white cloth and encircled with ivy on top of which sits a throne. A caption on the back of the photograph reads, "May Queen mounting her throne." This photograph is from the "Plays" envelope that was part of the collection's original organization.
