Description

This is a photograph of three women in a wooden boat being rowed across a river by a young boy with a single oar. A woman can be seen standing at the edge of the river in the background. A caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Crossing North Fork of Kentucky River at Typo, en route to Wooten, Ky, a community center to visit Pearl. No road after crossing the river but the creek bed." This photograph is from the "Visits to Homes" envelope that was part of the collection's original organization.
