Description

This photograph shows the back of Brown Hall. Named for Albert Erskine Brown, son of Mars Hill College's first president W.A.G. Brown (when the school was called the French Broad Baptist Institute) and a long-time mountain mission school superintendent, Brown Hall was built in 1924-1925. The building's architects were Martin Egbert Parmalee and Sons.
